Yarmouk offers loans and assistance worth 155,000 dinars to 725 students

Yarmouk University President Dr. Islam Masad said that the university's humanitarian role is a major part of the university's work, and that the university will not hesitate to provide all possible assistance and help its students who face difficult material conditions that prevent them from continuing their studies easily and easily, by giving them the loans and material assistance they deserve.

During his social chairmanship of the student fund committees and the university's voluntary fund, he stressed the importance of continuing the work and development of these funds, reflecting positively on the increase in the number of students benefiting from their services in each semester, in light of the increasing number of university students and the increase in the number of students applying for loans and grants through them.

Dr. Mohammed Khalaf Dhiabat, dean of student affairs at the university, said the two committees have made great efforts to grant loans and scholarships to eligible students, and have been keen to translate the humanitarian and community role of the university by providing a large number of university loans exceptionally for this semester due to the high number of students who applied for loans and grants provided by the university.

During the meeting, the Student Fund Committee decided to grant the 672 students who applied for loans from the Student Fund and applied to them on the conditions for granting these loans, which amounted to a loan equivalent to the tuition hours fees he recorded for the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, provided that the loan amounted to no more than 9 credit hours of study, and the amount of loans provided was 677'142 dinars.

The Voluntary Fund Management Committee also decided to grant the 53 students who applied for financial assistance and applied to the conditions equal to the tuition fees he recorded for the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, provided that the amount of assistance did not exceed the fees of (9) credit hours of study, and the amount of assistance amounted to 12,960 dinars.

It is worth mentioning that the President of the University is the chair of both the student fund management committees and the donations fund, and the committees include the Dean of Student Affairs, the Director of the Department of Admissions and Registration, the Director of the Department of Student Services in the Deanship of Student Affairs, and the Committee of the Fund of Donations includes the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, while the Student Fund Committee also includes Dr. Saif Nasser Athamna of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
